    PLEASE READ: BEFORE YOU REGISTER – YOU MUST SUBMIT A VALID FIRST AID/CPR/AED CERTIFICATION FOR APPROVAL.

    THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS ARE ACCEPTED. THEIR LOGO WILL BE PRESENT ON THE CERTIFICATION:

    “ONLINE ONLY” CLASSES AND COURSES DESIGNED BY PRIVATE BUSINESSES OR ORGANIZATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Blended learning courses (an in person skills session with an instructor was attended) are accepted. Your certifcation should not say “online” on the card.

    PLEASE NOTE: Proof of First Aid/CPR certification MUST be emailed to info@moonvalleycpr.com before you register. Registrations that are received without submitting a valid AHA, Red Crosss, or ASHI First Aid/CPR certification first will be cancelled.

    Students cannot reserve a seat while they obtain First Aid and CPR certification – NO EXCEPTIONS

    This course will train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent (certifications issued by AHA, ARC, ASHI and NSC) and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities.     All students must have copies of either printed or digital versions of the following:

    We are happy to affiliate potential instructors at Moon Valley CPR.  We will explain your responsibilities as an instructor, the teaching expectations of the American Red Cross, our roles as a training center, and complete the documentation for instructor affiliation. We do not charge an affilation fee.

    New instructors are encouraged to observe a class before teaching. The lead instructor will discuss class documentation and submission, set up, teaching strategies, and the workflow of a typical class. Instructors must be monitored while teaching their first class and may assist with classes until they feel confident in a lead instructor position.

The Basic Life Support course will instruct and guide instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Basic Life Support courses.

In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification or equivalent (AHA, ARC, or ASHI – no 100% online course certifications) and be at least 18 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.

Note: Instructor courses can be very difficult for new providers. Providers should allow time to gain experience before attempting an instructor course
